This week we look at the history of Flare productions:

When Flare started, it was like a caveman emerging from his cave for the first time- new, primitive, oblivous, naive...

...but it wasn't long before he took his first step towards developing with his sudden explosive discovery of fire! (Ignite 2002)

Soon, he was standing...walking...running (Footnotes 2003)!

The art and skill of rhythm and dance soon followed (Rhythmicity 2004)...

...and before you know it, he was ready to take it all on and start to shine (Limelight 2005)!

In 2006, he temporarily stopped the evolution to acknowledge how far he has come- celebrating his fifth birthday with the forces of the five (Chinese) elements of nature (Elements 2006)! to symbolise each year that has passed.

But then, in 2007...the caveman returns!!!! By now, he has rapidly developed, advanced and grown in all aspects and is now well-established and a success in his own right. He now carries himself with maturity, grace and...POISE (Poise 2007).

The following question is not meant to offend the people who came up with this year's production name (obviously I think it's very apt and lovely and I have shown above), but just out of a little curiousity and light-hearted humour, it really does beg to be asked...

"What is the first thing you think of when you hear the word 'POISE'?"
